Dimensions / 41.5×29.5cm
Medium / Ink, paper
Portraying a television, one of Nam June Paik’s favorite motifs, this gives a feeling of dashing off with one stroke of a brush. From the ink’s light and shade, it can be speculated that he might draw two lines for the antenna first, the horizontal lines for scanning lines and the left side of the TV set in one stroke next, and then the bottom side and the right side of the television. Only five strokes in total made the form of a television set with an antenna. You can see the vestige of concentrated brushstroke flavored with contingency.
