When the TV color bars that Nam June Paik frequently used in his videos can be found in his paintings too. In this work, eight color bars, i.e., white, yellow, light blue, green, pink, red, dark blue, and black are repeated in four rows, moving one column to the left in each row. In addition to this, there are two white canvases attached slantwise. On the left, there are the sun, a TV set, and human faces overlapped; black lines in the form of large V go through these images; and the word “LION” is written above. On the right, a round face is repeated numerously like a pattern across the canvas.
