On traditional Korean holidays women enjoyed a folk game called a see-sawing jumping, and Nam June Paik depicted this in his typically humorous way. Although portrayed in simple black lines, you can see, on the side of a woman’s bouncing up, her skirt and pony tail fluttering and flapping, and the angles of her upper and lower half bodies are accurately delineated. In parallel with the plank below is a dotted line above to express the balance between the two game players. And an additional figure in blue connected from the woman on the right by a blue dotted line is to represent her tumbling down from the plank when she is off-balance.
