Nam June Paik’s study drawings have a childlike and playful atmosphere, and his typical drawings are composed of wild lines of different colors and his favorite subjects added thereupon. One of them is a sun-like flower motif, and here you can see something like tassels or musical notes dangling from the flowers’ leaves. The layered strokes look primitive and primordial, and the word “Eden” written in the upper-left corner might be intended to point out a bitter-sweet life.
