The exhibition catalogue of (2012.3.9-7.1) reveals the historical process from Nam June Paik’s encounter with John Cage, their interaction and their several ways of constructing sound, but also a topography of remarkable contemporary sound artists. The first part is composed of detailed explanation and historical documents such as letters, scores and photography concerning the itinerary of Paik who, started from the contemporary music, headed for indeterminable sound and space on acquaintance with Cage. In the second part, the distinctive installation views at NJP Art Center are combined with the work descriptions of unconventional sound installation artists: Didier Faustino, Loris Gréaud, Takahiko Iimura, Kichul Kim, Haroon Mirza, Mohri Yuko, Susan Philipsz, Sei Rhee, Anri Sala, Umeda Tetsuya, Otomo Yoshihide + Yasutomo Aoyama, Zimoun.
