LESSON 4. ROBOT THEATRE
is Nam June Paik’s masterpiece that embodied the spirit of cybernetics. Through this work of art, Nam June Paik warned the danger of technological times; the dehumanization and technocentrism and insisted the humanization of technology.
The Robot that can excrete, talk, and walk doesn’t fail to be together with the performances of Nam June Paik and Charlotte Moorman. Nam June Paik who used to tell that he could hire several technicians for whenever it went wrong proclaimed the death of the robot through a car accident performance in the exhibition at Whitney Museum of American Art. The participants talk about the life of , a delicate and human avatar of Nam June Paik, and make a video movie together about their thoughts and opinions.

LESSON 5. REWIND PROJECT
Nam June Paik’s is a work of art showing a 104 days’ thought until his birth from his mother’s womb in the form of conversation with his mother.
The autobiography that he wrote on the New York Times delivered everyday is illustrative of Nam June Paik’s traversing way of thinking that weaved the individual and times vertically and horizontally. The critical mind hidden in the delicate selfconsciousness and humor of an artist who left his mother country that went through a colonial period and war and had to live as an immigrant in other country for the rest of his life is surely worthy of becoming an example to the blossoming youth.
This is a program to share his awakening artist mind in a way of autobiography.

LESSON 6. TV LAB
Nam June Paik’s experimental TV works are physically manipulated the internal circuit and transformed into a stuff with whole new functions.
Such defamiliarization played an important role for a television to become a work of art. By taking a look at the electromagnetic principles of his and TV Set (Horizontal/ Vertical)> in Lesson 6, we attempt to distance from a television which is a familiar medium to children. At the electric musical instrument workshop in session 3 and 4, you can analyze the electric circuit of a flash light and make an electric instrument responding to the quantity of light. This is a media literacy program that makes it possible for us to defamiliarize the medium that turned into our environment by transforming an electronic product which is easy to get in a daily life into another medium with a different function.
